Seaside Serenity - Enhancing Geriatric Design

The goal of this project was to create a welcoming, safe, and therapeutic environment for elderly patients. The design aims to improve mobility, reduce fall risks, and support physical and emotional needs of its patients. The design incorporates natural light, soothing color schemes, and ergonomic furniture to create a relaxing atmosphere for its user. Balancing clinical requirements while keeping a home-like ambiance posed a significant challenge, but with extensive research, meticulous planning, and attention to detail, the space ensures accessibility and safety while maintaining an aesthetically pleasing environment. Equitable design is ensured through the inclusion of universally accessible features, catering to the wide range of physical and cognitive abilities that elderly patients may have.
